The Social/Special Activities Committee invites all residents of Mark Subdivisions to our 1st Annual National Night out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This is a block party and will be held on the neutral ground between N. Hardy and S. Hardy Street.
Over 80% of our residents have returned since Hurricane Katrina, therefore, the need for additional crime prevention is imperative. The purpose of the event is to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness in Mark Subdivision
- Generate support for and participation in, local anticrime programs
- Strengthen Mark Subdivision and other surrounding communities spirit and partnerships with the local police-community
- Send a message to criminals that Mark Subdivision is organized and fighting back
Were you aware that lately we have experienced several home and vehicle break- ins? It is of the upmost importance that you know your neighbors, and can put a name with a face.
WE CAN ONLY BE SUCCESSFUL IF WE WORK TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY, SO COME OUT AND HELP US MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE

Releaf New Orleans Coordinated Neighborhood Tree Project
Dear Neighbors,
Mark Subdivision Beautification Committee is working with Parkway Partners in order to obtain free trees for our neighborhood. The trees are to be planted on city property only. We are hoping to place the trees between the side walk and street. We were informed they will deliver and plant them with help from us.
